With a long trip planned I needed my dog to be comfortable without being confined to a dog booster “box.” After comparing some hammocks online I listed my requirements as: must be comfortable, able to fit large suv, protect doors from scratches but still allow dog to look out the window, conveniently allow me to view my dog from front seat, easy access, able to move front seats back/forward for driver and passenger comfort. My optional requirement is easily adjust to allow for passenger to share back seat.
I settled on Pawmanity Deluxe Hammock and crossed my fingers.
I won’t dwell on the service received or delivery timeframe except to tick them both as excellent.
Eager to know whether I’d chosen the right hammock, I installed it immediately. Installation was quick and very easy, even on my own.
Being satisfied with the fit the next step was to take my dog for a test ride. She started off a little excited to explore the new arrangement, standing on the armrest to look out the window, without leaving scratches, happily looking through the mesh to keep an eye on me, checking out the other window, before settling in for a comfortable lazy ride.
I later collected a couple of passengers and dropping the hammock straps to allow for human passengers couldn’t be any easier.
I’m happy to say the hammock has fulfilled all my requirements, both essential and optional - and more. The elasticised pockets weren’t on my list at all but on using them will make the list for any future research.
It’s early days and I’ve yet to undertake the long drive but I’m heading off with the thought that this hammock ticks all the boxes.
